RIS projects 8.2% GDP growth rate for 2008-09

Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) has projected an economic growth of 8.2 per cent for this fiscal while pegging the expansion for whole of South Asia at 7.8 per cent in its latest South Asia Development and Cooperation Repor, 2008.

According to ADB, Asia Economic Monitor, the economic growth in emerging East Asia would moderate to 7.6% in 2008 and 2009 from 9% in 2007 as inflation surged more than expected.
